Sheryl Underwood is a American comedian, host of a TV show and actor famous for hosting The Talk, a popular talk show on daytime. The Talk. Sheryl was born in Arkansas and was raised In Little Rock, Atwater and Atwater. Sheryl is part of a clan which has experienced a variety of troubles. She spent most of her early years caring for her sister Frankie who was afflicted by Polio. She faced a lot of trouble with her mother while growing up. Sheryl recalls that her mother once stabbed at her father because he was too close. Sheryl was drafted into the military upon her college graduation. Her interest in comedy became more pronounced. In 1989, she became the first woman to make the finals of the Miller Lite Comedy Search contest. In 1992she made her TV debut as a regular on the HBO show Def Comedy Jam. In 2000 she hosted Oh Drama! Oh Drama! In 2011, she began acting as co-host on the talk show The Talk. She's appeared in fictitious series such as Bulworth Nikki, Beauty Shop and others.
